The Magic Seed

Hello Members and Supporters,

I hope everyone is safe and warm during this cold winter season. As January comes to a close we would like to introduce our first newsletter The Magic Seed. In honor of our founder Lydia Roman The Magic Garden is now called Lydia’s Magic Garden (LMG). Our mission is to create a sustainable garden that helps grow flowers, organic fruits and vegetables for the East Harlem community.

In 2015 construction of Lydia’s New Magic Garden was completed with the help of district leader and Community 11 board member Peggy Morales, The Lantern Group, Bruno Frustaci Contracting Inc. and Orios Designs. Lydia’s Magic Garden has served the East Harlem community since 1992 by providing beautiful flowers, organic fruits and vegetables.

LMG now has a new landing page on lydiasmagicgarden where visitors can see old photos and read about past events. We have also created a Facebook page

www.facebook.com/lydiasmagicgarden ) which allow members and supporters to  find information about our progress and upcoming events.

Lydia’s Magic Garden is looking for volunteers that can lend a hand. We are trying to work with residents, local business and community leaders of East Harlem to help restore this once known beautiful urban oasis. Please Join Us.
